Spooky sea creatures in Indonesia-Philipine waters

On November 24, scientists announced the discovery of a spooky creature in the deepest sea between Indonesia and the Philippines.

A creature shaped like a 9.4 cm squid has a more frightening form than the proposed name is Squidworn - a squid species.

This creature is considered a squid species but has a form that is considered both terrifying and interesting.

This animal has a way of swimming upright, and swimming under the sea by moving two row of paddle-shaped tentacles from its thin and long body. Ten tentacles can be longer than its body extending from its head with six pairs of curved muscles that allow it to feel and smell the water.

Marine biologist Karen Osborn of Scripps Institution of Oceanography in California found the animal using ocean submarines. This previously unknown animal has been found by the explorers in the Celebes Sea at a depth of 2.8 km.

" I am very happy to find this strange animal, " Mr. Osborn said. " It looks very attractive because it is an animal very different from what has been described before, with a wonderful and amazing form at the beginning ."

Squidworm lives at a depth of about 100 to 200 meters under the seabed that is rich in plants and animals, scientists said. " I guess that when exploiting deep waters, more than half of the animals we find are still new to science, " Mr. Osborn said.
