Detecting alien creatures under the seabed of Indonesia
The expedition at a depth of 2,000m in the South West Java (Indonesia) area has revealed many strange creatures in the world that people have not yet discovered and the ocean is always filled with mysteries.
Recently, a research team from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Indonesian Institute of Science (LIPI) participated in the expedition of the South Java deep sea ecosystem 2018 (SJADES 2018) to explore the deep seas. in the south of West Java (Indonesia).

Radio Channel News Asia (Singapore) on May 13 said the 31-person research team of scientists and support staff collected more than 12,000 samples of organisms from 63 locations across an area of 2,200km, with the area with the deepest depth is 2,100m.
The expedition lasted 2 weeks. However, scientists will take up to two years to complete their study of 12,000 specimens taken from the seabed of an area extending from the Sunda Strait to the Indian Ocean off the south coast. of West Java.
The team used different types of nets as well as special devices to capture tiny organisms.

"For some reason, we have almost no information about deep-sea creatures in that area. We can't look at what we don't know," commented Peter Ng.
He is the head of the Lee Kong Chian Museum of Natural History at NUS and the leader of the expedition.
The results surpassed Ng's expectations. The most notable finding is that there are 12 exotic shaped crustaceans including shrimp, crabs, . and more than 40 completely new species of creatures for the list of known Indonesian creatures.
Here are some strange shaped species that researchers participated in SJADES 2018 to find:
Scientists have found three species of spider crab with a strange shape in the deep waters of southwestern Java.In the picture is the "Big Ears" crab, 6cm long, found at a depth of more than 1,000m - (Photo: SJADES 2018).

During the expedition, the team also found more than 40 species of shrimp, thanks to a number of species that are different in shape from those found in shallow waters. In the picture is a species of shrimp in the shell thanks to the green eyes, 3cm long - (Photo: SJADES 2018).
