According to initial information, at least four people were killed by floods and mudslides. Flooding and mudslides have also caused serious traffic problems and widespread power outages.

In the coastal city of Trieste in the Northeast and the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of Italy, storms accompanied by heavy rains also spill many trees, destroying many houses and vehicles. Meanwhile, snow fell again and interrupted traffic in some parts of the North.

The Italian Farmers' Association (Coldiretti) estimates that this flood caused the country's agricultural sector to be worth about 100 million euros, mainly vegetables and fruits, the most heavily damaged fruits.

Previously, Coldiretti warned that all 45 towns, cities and villages in the Calabria region (Calabria) in the southern region are at risk of flooding and mudslides.

In Bolivia, heavy rain also caused serious landslides in the eastern capital of La Paz. Bolivian capital spokesman Edwin Herrera said on March 2 that landslides destroyed 400 houses in nine poor areas near the city of La Paz to the east.

Currently the Bolivian authorities are continuing efforts to evacuate people to safe areas. Thousands of people are arranged in temporary schools and sports stadiums.

Meanwhile, on March 2, a magnitude 6.2 earthquake was recorded at the border line between Colombia and Panama, however, did not cause material and human damage.

Earlier, an earthquake of 4.5 on the Richter scale also occurred in the province of Bocas del Toro, northern Panama. Panama authorities have urged people in the country to be alert to the risk of continuing an earthquake.
