Story of Quang Tri farmers inventors
I visited the booth of the Quang Tri Department of Science and Technology just when the farmer Van Duc Quynh smirked and snuck a stack of photo papers. The visitors were too crowded, the brochures were gone very quickly, so he was sent to another photo.
Then the man with a gentle smile on his lips put the introduction sheets into his multi-purpose cutter, which was the latest product, scattered around the slices of cassava cut by customers. Next to it were his other two machines, a corn grain plucking machine and the other was a plucking machine.
Quynh is the typical ' mass creator ' of Quang Tri province, a land with many difficult but famous places. I see you have Van Duc Quynh Mechanical Business Card, specialized in manufacturing and repairing cutting machines (bananas, cassava, vegetables .), corn milling machines, fresh and dry cassava grinders, agricultural machines. and civil . with a poise logo.
However, the mechanic profession is not the job of farmer Quynh, he has never learned a vocational school of any skill class, outside the cultural level of 9/12. However, it was the need to overcome difficulties of a peasant family in the pebble land that made him suffer. The thought of how to help the poor to help them with extreme hardship and inherent ingenuity and potential creativity, he had himself found his way to the mechanical profession. Entering the job not long, but until now, he has invented 3 different cutting machines, cutting machines, the average price is 4 million VND each. He said that each of these machines lost about 10 jobs (1 person would take 10 days), when the sale would be about 500,000 VND.

Starting from hardship .
Seeing that every farmer who harvested the corn had to take the hand to separate the crust with great suffering, it took a lot of time, in early 2004, he started to research and manufacture corn seeding machine.
In the beginning, he kept scooping himself out, and by the time of the corn harvest, he pulled the machine into the people's house, asking people to run the machine. For 3 years (ie 6 corn crops), farmers were familiar with the way he pulled the machine around the village throughout the neighborhood. By 2007, the new corn grain separator was completed. The separation capacity at this time reaches nearly 5 quintals per hour (20 times higher than human). The machine is 0.75m high - 0.4m wide - 0.6m long; weighs 45kg. The principle of operation is quite simple: when the spindle rotates, the corn is rotated, in the guide slider there are adjustable parts to separate the seeds. Beads follow the guide, then follow the slider out.
Quynh has made more than a hundred of these machines, sold both in Hue, Quang Binh and Kon Tum .
With momentum, he continued to make plucking machines and versatile cutters (can cut cassava, potatoes, bananas . into slices). ' I need the following faster than the previous one. Although different features, the operating principle is not much different. I was in the middle of it all . '.
. And the sweet fruit is finished
Quynh's machinery won the first 3 technical innovation competitions organized by the Union of Science and Technology Associations and was brought to attend the Fair of Creative Farmers in Tam Ky City in 2008 and Techmart in Da Nang (2007), Lang Son (2008) and this time all 3 were brought to Techmart VN ASEAN + 3.

Talking about his charm with machines, he once said his unique ' invention ' process to the press: ' If anything is missing from their children, they will come to me, I will think and think about you. find inventions to make the machine they want. The machine made it, I took it to try it, I saw that the limb was not yet full or missing. But there are some hard things, I have to owe it to my relatives '.
Also because of the rich ideas of relatives, they trust him, so his invention does not seem to stop. He has just produced and marketed the machines in every house because he said ' I have a small machine, a small capital, serving farmers is a must '.
What is special is that the materials used to make this device are made from war scrap such as bullets, iron bars . and scattered much on the strip of land that used to be a fierce battlefield.
Talking about the creative farmers of his locality, Mr. Luu Van A, Deputy Director of the Center for Science and Technology Information of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Tri province is proud. He said, these are inventions that were born spontaneously, but extremely effective and useful. Quang Tri is still very poor, but the Provincial People's Committee has paid close attention to the transfer of science and technology application.
Visitors to the exhibition also have to admit, the display space of Quang Tri is invested quite carefully, not only bringing machines, bringing cassava maize from Quang Tri to the Giang Vo Exhibition Center in Hanoi to 'submit'. They performed 'visually', they also had a very professional clip that elaborated on the characteristics, how to operate, the uses of each machine in the field, and arranged the speakers and provided leaflets with full enough information needed.
In his new white shirt and casual pants, his short-sleeved, gentle smile on his face Quynh, Mr. Binh and Quang Tri farmers participating in Techmart this time made visitors like to blame. longer than your booth - those who are really passionate about creativity, with science, and especially devoted to the life and hard life of farmers.
