Strange bubbles are 'trapping' our entire Solar System

The US team of scientists confirmed that there is a bubble-like structure that is wrapping around the Sun and all of its planets, including Earth of course.

Their model shows that neutral hydrogen particles emitted in the outer Solar System play an important role in the formation of this heliosphere bubble. The shape of this bubble is still controversial, although many other research groups are also trying to prove its existence. Professor Opher's team provided an image of a distorted bubble, while several other models from other research groups suggest it could be more elongated or have a comet-like tail.
