Study mammoth brain
Russian scientists have embarked on a breakthrough project to study the mammoth's well-preserved brain, in hopes of understanding the behavior of this extinct animal.

RIA Novosti, quoted by Yakutia Academy scientist Albert Protopopov, said the new research will play a very important role, as it is the first time scientists touch the brain. a creature that lived tens of thousands of years ago.
Mammoths, nicknamed Yuka, were found in 2010 in Yakutia. Experts say it appeared 39,000 years ago, about 10 to 11 years old at the time of death.
Experts assess Yuka's brain in perfect condition.
'That allows us to study not only the morphological characteristics of mammoths, but more importantly, to understand the specific aspects of their behavior, which have not been achieved so far.' , according to expert Protopopov.
