This third engine, also known as the horizontal four-cylinder gasoline engine, has been improved through the latest Subaru research and development.

' In this design, the pistons are arranged symmetrically on the left and right along the crankshaft. As the pistils move, they look like the boxers 'hands, so the engine is called a boxer .'

Thanks to its light weight, compact design, low center of gravity and excellent anti-vibration balance, the new Subaru boxer engine reduces about 10% of fuel consumption and 10% increase in fuel consumption. .

Subaru said the engine will be available in either 2,500 or 2,000cc models, and will now be considered the company's main engines.

FHI has built a new factory at the Gunma Oizumi factory to produce the new generation of engines.
