Implementing a project to produce electricity by light engine

The research project on the design and manufacture of solar power generation systems based on the principle of accumulation (light engine) by Dr. Nguyen The Hung, Institute of Physics (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology) The chair has just been decided by the Ministry of Science and Technology for implementation in 2011.

The project aims to design a generator powered by light engine with a capacity of 1kW or more in two years and cost 4 billion. This engine will be installed on some islands that are not capable of pulling the grid.

Previously, in 2008, Dr. Nguyen The Hung and a team of researchers have researched this type of engine. The principle of engine building is focusing light, using mirrors to receive sunlight, reflecting focusing on the engine, causing the engine to turn light energy into electricity. According to the team, 1m2 of concave glass will collect heat to produce about 1,300W standard. However, the efficiency of lighting is usually only 30% so 1m2 glass only produces about 400W of electricity. This technology does not take up space, can be installed in many places on a large scale depending on the installation site.
