The mysterious disease of the giant boxer bears the nickname
Having a big head problem, wrestler Andre Rene Roussimoff (France) possesses a giant body with the power of "God bless".
The height of 2.24m weighing 240kg, Andre Rene Roussimoff is considered the "eighth wonder of the world". Throughout his playing career, the boxer nicknamed the Giant easily won on the wrestling floor, to the extent that the public praised him for having "the power given by God" . However, that extraordinary physicality did not come from the years of hard training that stemmed from an evil disease.
According to Men's Health, Andre was born and raised in Molien, a small village 30 miles east of Paris. From a young age, future martial artists have made neighbors curious about the strange appearance. By age 12, Andre was 1.9m taller and weighed 91kg.
Growing up, Andre joins wrestling village. He quickly impressed by the physique and superior strength. Several footage shows that Andre the Giant easily lifted 900kg weights and lifted two 90kg heavyweights like babies.

Contrary to his colleagues, Andre is very lazy to practice. He is known for being a few to the gym and only changing after his back surgery."Andre is very reluctant," Jason Hehir, director of the documentary about Andre Giant revealed . "He was born healthy."
In fact, scientists discovered Andre with acromegaly (head to head disease) . As a form of hormonal disorder , acromegaly promotes hormone production to the point where the body and its organs grow out of control. "What steroid abusers aim at is exactly what happened to Andre," Hehir said.
Acromegaly does not directly increase health but patients often excel in physical strength compared to the common size thanks to their large size. In addition to Andre the Giant, the literature has recorded several cases of acromegaly that are exceptionally healthy. To date, no method has been used to cure acromegaly but only a few treatments such as removing the pituitary gland .

In addition to the evil monster disease, Andre also suffered a serious mental crisis. He felt himself treated like a circus monster and had to wrestle an average of 300 days a year. Frustrated, Andre reached for alcohol. Famous wrestler Ric Flair claims to have seen the men drink 106 beers at the same time.
On January 27, 1993, Andre Giant died of a heart attack. Hehir identified the late diagnosis of acromegaly disease (after age 20) and the habit of refusing medical care contributed to the death of the 46-year-old legendary wrestler.
