Successfully fabricated a non-metal weapon detector

This device was created to quickly detect non-metallic objects, potentially destructive. Only the United States can manufacture similar products, says Tianjin Chongfang, a science and technology company that manufactures equipment.

Body scanners use X-ray technology to detect non-metallic objects such as pottery, explosives, opium, plastic weapons and liquid bombs.

Unlike devices manufactured in the United States, this scanner can detect hidden objects while still ensuring the privacy of the scanned person, as well as being sold at competitive prices, the manufacturer for know.

According to the manufacturer, the device addresses the technical challenges of many countries, which are precisely the positioning of dangerous objects in a messy crowd moving with many luggage and goods.

In addition, X-rays emitted from scanners are negligible, several times smaller than those exposed while flying from Beijing to Shanghai.

The manufacturer plans to include 1,000 scanners in a number of areas, including railway stations, civil aviation, drug control and customs.

Security control equipment was developed by a team of experts, mostly in Tsinghua.
