Facing the above situation, scientists of the Center for Laser Technology, Institute of Technology Application (Ministry of Science and Technology), have successfully fabricated the three laser devices in the medical industry including: Laser surgery 45W CO2 laser used in surgical, dermatological, gynecological, cosmetic surgery .; 50mW therapy He-Ne laser is widely used in many specialties such as physiotherapy, rehabilitation .; Infrared semiconductor laser with a capacity of 4.5W for surgery, acupuncture, anti-ulcer, dentistry.

Thai Quang Tung Engineer, Deputy Head of Medical Laser Technology said, compared to the existing products on the market, the laser devices manufactured by the group have many advantages. There are types designed to add parts to digital cameras, to help doctors see the operating area and minimize unwanted effects caused by lasers; There are types designed to add beams to transmit and adjust the section of the laser beam to the area to be treated by patients, replacing optical fiber leads to import with high cost.
