The group of authors at the Military Technical Automation Institute (Ministry of Defense) has successfully carried out the project " Research, design and manufacture of industrial automation identification and classification systems ".

With the application of identification technology, image processing and artificial intelligence on the basis of a high-quality image collection system, it will ensure the speed and accuracy of identification of higher standard product classification. with naked eyes or other manual methods.

The system has a high degree of flexibility and adaptability because it can be applied in many industrial production lines with product classification standards that need to apply image recognition and processing technology. The adaptability of the system makes it possible to apply to a wide range of products when needed by the flexible change of the egg characteristics of the product.

When a product passes through a light blocking chamber, the camera system captures the surface image of the product and passes it to identification and classification software . This software will perform product identification and make decisions about what kind of quality it is.

The second part is the system control block; Includes separate control of system components, simultaneously, process control, coordinated control of the entire system.

The third part is the mechanical structure block of classification. It is a longitudinal conveyor belt, with the slot placed in series according to the manufacturer's belt On the conveyor belt there are classification positions corresponding to the product samples. Each classification position is fitted with an upper arm and product bracket at the bottom. When the product passes through the image acquisition system, the processor identifies and decides which results in which standard quality the product is. The conveyor will transfer the product according to the corresponding quality slot.

Product Industrial automation system for identification and classification of Military Technical Automation Institute has been certified by the Ministry of Science and Technology, awarded with Vietnam Techmart Gold Cup 2005.

The system has been integrated into the production line of Thach Ban, Sao Do and Truc Thon refractory brick factories of Vietnam Steel Corporation.
