Vietnamese engineer turns air magic into water

MSc Phan Anh Tan and scientists from Institute of Applied Technology have successfully fabricated the water supply system from high-humidity air.

The device collects water from the air

The device collects water from the air with high humidity like an air conditioner but is arranged in the direction of air intake: Evaporator, condenser, exhaust fan, upper compressor with cover cover. Under the evaporator, there are condensate trays, the front and rear have a wind door for air to be sucked.

The equipment in the refrigeration system includes: Heat recovery equipment, liquid separators, throttle valves, temperature relays, low pressure relays, high pressure relays, high pressure tanks, filter dryers, gas eyes . However, the device will be calculated so that the evaporation temperature of the refrigerant is higher than that of a conventional air conditioner to obtain the required amount of water (120 liters of water / day).

The system was installed and operated effectively at Lung Cu Border Station (Ha Giang).
