Although Vietnam has regulations against hunting and tigers, and bringing this animal into a group of endangered animals, the number of tigers in our country is still declining leading to the risk of extinction is present. Meanwhile, the hunting, trading and transporting of tiger is increasing due to the high profit from this animal.

Statistics from the Department of Environmental Police (Ministry of Public Security) show that currently only 95 tigers are kept in farms, zoos and circuses. In nature, deep in the forests from North to South, according to the national report on tiger conservation in 2009, there are no more than 50 tigers.
