There are 10 wild elephants in Dong Nai
Through a survey of the current status of wild elephant populations living in Vinh Cuu Nature Reserve and Cat Tien National Park, on October 23, the survey team chaired by the Forest Protection Department has concluded: There are two wild elephants in Dong Nai with 10 individuals.
Including three male elephants (two with ivory) and seven female elephants (including two elephants).
Experts on elephants identify the current habitat and elephant structure, if good conservation will ensure the development of elephants.
With the results of this survey, Dong Nai Forest Protection Department and functional departments will come up with a solution to solve the conflict between people and elephants to implement the emergency action plan of wildlife conservation as directed by Prime Minister.
