Two elephants have left devastation after the attack on a suburban area of Mysore city in Karnataka. Officials say two elephants stormed the city from a nearby forest, leaving locals to run away to escape.

SA Ramdas, education official in Karnataka state, said schools in Mysore yesterday were closed and police were deployed to prevent other attacks from occurring. An official said that the craze of elephants was caused by humans violating their natural habitat. According to Mr. Ramdas, two captured elephants will be returned to the wild. Elephants are very revered animals in India.
