Techniques increase plant growth by 50%

A group of Mexican scientists from the Cinvestav Research Center recently developed a new active substance and technique that allows a 50% increase in crop growth as well as resistance and rapid adaptation to drought conditions.

This work has opened up a new direction in the prevention of deforestation and increased food production.

At the press conference held on June 17 to introduce the above scientific achievements, female Dr. Beatriz Cázares said that after many years of research, scientists of Cinvestav have discovered micorrizas that function as root system. prolong , accelerate the absorption of water and minerals, and thus help plants grow faster and adapt to drought conditions.

According to Ms Cázares, who leads this important scientific work, micorrizas also function as a natural microbial fertilizer , without polluting the soil and water resources, which means saving cost of buying chemical fertilizers.

In the coming time, Cinvestav will apply new techniques to a number of crops in the northern arid regions to increase the greening, and especially for common food crops such as corn and beans black, some chili . to increase food productivity and output, contributing to ensuring food security in this country of 112 million people.

The technology will also help Mexico recover 155,000 hectares of forest lost annually due to human unconsciousness.
