A massive landslide hit a western Indian village in Maharashtra on July 30, leaving at least 150 people buried, more than 50 houses damaged.

"The government said 42 to 50 houses were affected. 150 people were thought to be buried, we sent two rescue teams to the scene," said an official from the National Disaster Response Agency. India told AFP.
According to the AP, the landslide took place after the area suffered heavy rains.
India's CNN-IBN TV channel said rescue teams were difficult to access the site because heavy rains also caused heavy, muddy roads leading to the village of Ambe in Pune district. horizontal soil and rock.

According to PTI news agency, about 30 ambulances were sent to the scene, plus some excavators and bridges.
