Meanwhile, the Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives has also banned the sale and transport of poultry in all border areas between Thailand and neighboring countries.

On January 22, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a press release stating that the H5N1 avian influenza virus mutated and resisted Tamiflu in Egypt is a single phenomenon. WHO confirmed that the H5N1 virus has not yet spread easily from person to person.

On the same day, Indonesian television reported that a 20-year-old female patient, suspected of being infected with bird flu, was killed in a hospital in Jakarta on January 21. If confirmed the cause of death is the H5N1 virus, this will be the victim of death due to the 63 bird flu in Indonesia.
