The cause of a person suffering from hemophilia
Non-coagulopathy is caused by a deficiency of factor 8 or 9 in the blood, which is hereditary and the patient must be very careful in daily life.
Nguyen Gia Huy 16 years old in Thanh Hoa had congenital haemophilia. From a young age, my body often appears bruises under the skin. I was very bleeding, each time it was very difficult to hold. Seeing the doctor, the doctors concluded that he had a deficiency of factor 8 in the blood.
Hemophilia is also called Hemophilia due to a lack of clotting factors in the chain of 12 factors that help blood clotting. Hemophilia has two main forms of hemophilia A due to lack of factor 8. This is the most common form of disease, accounting for 80%. The second body is hemophilia B caused by lack of factor 9.
To correctly diagnose hemophilia, as soon as signs of the disease are detected, the doctor will appoint a patient to have a hemostatic test. Depending on the condition, patients with hemophilia will be injected or given a periodic 8 or 9 factor at the hospital. The incidence of infusion depends on the patient's haemorrhage.
Doctor Nguyen Thi Mai, Head of the Hemophilia Department of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, said that this is a disease inherited from the previous generation. Some genes produce factor 8, factor 9 in a patient's blood, which can lead to severe bleeding.
Currently, there is no cure for this disease. Therefore, patients need to be careful with their daily activities. Dr. Mai advised:
- For patients with difficult blood clotting, needing lifestyle changes suitable to the characteristics of the disease, walk gently and carefully, avoiding injuries that lead to bleeding.
- Create a safe living environment, go out on a helmet road, slippery places in the house need handrails, need light to avoid falling, .
- Oral hygiene is clean, periodic check of mouth infections, minimizing oral bleeding.
- Exercise regularly to strengthen the strength of your muscles, so the bleeding will be less.
- Avoid medications that may cause bleeding such as aspirin, histamine, not intramuscularly, without acupuncture.
- When you encounter bleeding injuries, you should go to the medical facility immediately to treat the wound immediately.
