Dr. Henry Heimlich, the creator of the heterosexual procedure, died December 17 at age 96 after a heart attack.

"My father is a great man who has saved many lives. He will always be remembered by his family and all mankind," said Dr. Henry Heimlich's son Phik Heimlich.

According to AP, Dr. Heimlich used to be the surgical director at Jewish Hospital, Cincinati. Seeing thousands of deaths due to heterosexuals every year, he created a first aid procedure named after him in 1974.

The Heimlich procedure is based on the principle of a strong, abrupt effect on the two lung chambers by tapping from the back or pressing against the diaphragm, putting pressure in the airways to push the object out. This method is quickly disseminated to public health facilities, airlines and restaurants.

It is estimated that the Heimlich procedure has saved more than 100,000 people and remains valid until now. In 2014, actor Clint Eastwood successfully applied this method to save the director from chewing cheese. Earlier this year, Dr. Heimlich himself used his invention to intervene to save a woman who choked in a nursing home.

In addition to the technique of handling heterologous hormones, Dr. Heimlich is also the father of many other works such as a one-way chest drain valve, which has helped many Vietnamese soldiers and civilians to maintain their lives.

Dr. Heimlich's family said it would hold a memorial ceremony to let friends and people come to separate the venerable doctor before proceeding to burial.
