In 2010, a group of leading researchers, Philippe Charlier, used facial regeneration techniques to draw the conclusion that the head, belonging to King Henry "benevolent", was assassinated in the year. 1610.

However, recently another group rejected the possibility, because DNA testing results are not similar to the surviving King Henry's surviving descendants.

In a report published in the British Medical Journal , University of Leuven's leader Jean-Jacques Cassiman, who led the second group, asked to withdraw the conclusion in 2010, and had two members of his group. Charlier admitted they might be wrong.

However, expert Charlier of R Poincare University Hospital (Belgium) persisted in defending his research, citing DNA comparison results may be useless because the French royal family has a habit of moon flower.

Until the final result was obtained, the marinated head remained in the bank's cellar in Paris.
