The first images of eclipse phenomenon in Ho Chi Minh City

At 7:34 am this morning, Ho Chi Minh City observed a partial solar eclipse, 52%. Ho Chi Minh City is one of the best eclipse observations in the country.

The most eclectic eclipse observation area is the southern provinces, the more northward the maximum coverage gradually decreases. Specifically, Ca Mau observed the solar eclipse with the largest coverage with 58%, followed by HCM City with 52%, and Da Nang with 36%, while Hanoi was only 22%.

Weather in Ho Chi Minh City is quite good to observe solar eclipse, clear sky, sometimes thin clouds. At high points in some areas in District 2 and District 7 many people gathered to watch this rare moment.

Especially in Thu Thiem bridge area, some young people from the amateur astronomical club are carrying astronomical instruments to observe a partial eclipse.

Professional and amateur photographers, and a handful of newspaper reporters were also present to record images and report on a partial solar eclipse in Ho Chi Minh City.

Partial solar eclipse in Ho Chi Minh City on March 9 is the most observed solar eclipse after 21 years, since the total solar eclipse of October 24, 1995 in the South Central and Southeast. At that time, 100% eclipse observed from Phan Thiet to Binh Phuoc, 98% of HCMC observed.
