The first time polygamy was discovered in the big horned owl

Bird experts have been extremely surprised when they first discovered polygamy in the big North American horns. Earlier, this night bird was always known as one of the most 'faithful' species.

On the last day of February, the hydrologist Jim Thomas of the Desert Research Institute in Reno, Nevada, happened to discover a pair of big North American horns nesting right in his office window. Given that this is extremely interesting, he immediately installed a camera to monitor the reproduction of the pair.

Later, everyone sharing the office with Jim Thomas was surprised to find the third owl appeared. Surprisingly, the third owl is a female and all three seem to get along very well before spawning in the nest that was done before Jim's window.

It is known that after a period of time, 2 females have laid 5 eggs and hatched eggs together. Meanwhile, the big horned owl drummed up to get food to share with his '2 wives' .

Seeing this, Christian Artuso, a Canadian bird conservationist, confirmed that this was the first time humans discovered polygamy in large horns. Because this bird has a very strong territorial division, they often live monogamous and are always ready to attack the third.

However, Christian Artuso admits that maybe the owl who came later is the first of a couple of owls or it is a sister to one of these two big horned owls. Because, only that can help all 3 living together in harmony.
