Dr. Xu Xing, a CAS biologist and his team named the new dinosaur Sinoceratops Zhuchengensis. Horned dinosaurs often eat grass and live in the late Cretaceous period, 65 million years ago.

'This dinosaur skull skull is at least 180 cm long and 105 cm wide , "said Dr. Xu. 'It has a large horn 30 cm long in front of it and 10 small horns on its head . '

The team also said that the discovery of the new dinosaur Zhuchengensis could cause scientists to rewrite current hypotheses about species diversity and dinosaur adaptation.

Before Chinese scientists discovered the horned dinosaur fossils in 2008, the fossil of this dinosaur was found only in North America. Therefore, Dr. Xu said their findings have partly helped to prove that the horned dinosaur hypothesis has migrated from Asia to North America.

Chinese archaeologists have discovered at least 10 different dinosaurs in Zhucheng City in Shandong Province since they began excavating the area in the 1960s.
