The first two scientists won the Ta Quang Buu Prize

Ta Quang Buu award for basic research in natural science is the first award of the Ministry of Science and Technology (Science and Technology), to honor individuals and collectives of scientists who have research projects. Excellent research is published in prestigious international journals.

This year, the first year of the review has had 52 records sent to the Prize Council for consideration of awards.

After the sessions, the Council has selected four applications for the final exam, namely: Prof. Nguyen Ba An, Center for Theoretical Physics, Institute of Physics (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology); Prof. Nguyen Huu Viet Hung, Mathematics Department, University of Natural Sciences (Hanoi National University); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duc Chinh, Institute of Mechanics (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology); Prof. Pham Hung Viet and Associate Professor Pham Thi Kim Trang, Center for Environmental Technology Research and Sustainable Development (Hanoi National University).

Under the statute, prize winners are only accepted and awarded when the number of votes cast is too high among those present. As a result, the Awards Council selected two scientists, Professor Nguyen Ba An, Institute of Physics (Institute of Science and Technology) and the work published in Optics Communications Magazine 283, 4113 (2010) and Professor Nguyen Huu Viet Hung, University of Natural Sciences (Hanoi National University) with the work published in Mathematische Analen 353 (2012), 827- 866.

The Ta Quang Buu award ceremony will be held on May 17 at the Ministry of Science and Technology headquarters.
