Yulka, the white " star " whale in a zoo in Valencia (Spain) has just released the first baby whale in captivity.
The whale weighs 90kg, 1.20m long. According to the zoo, a group of experts will take care of this whale to ensure the best chance of survival for it. It will be released to the public after at least another month.
According to experts, the rate of white whale mortality is very high. The newborn white whale is green or gray and has white color when mature. They can live for up to 30 years.
The zoo is temporarily closed to ensure a safe environment for Yulka and her mother.
