The body of a large whale was discovered floating on the US coast, but it is unclear exactly what caused it to die.
NBC San Diego said the whale carcass was discovered on the Imperial coast, in San Diego, California, on May 25. It has a length of about 15m. The fish died and stinked when drifting on the beach.

Border Field State Beach experts set up barriers around the whale's body two days later. According to the researchers, it may be the target of the enemy's attack and chase.
The appearance of huge whale carcasses makes many seafaring curious. Meanwhile, local authorities are considering the cause of the whale's death and finding ways to move the fish off the coast.
This is the second time whale carcasses have been found in San Diego. Earlier, a whale's body was discovered on Point Loma beach, on May 19.
