The giant lemon weighs 3.5kg in Lam Dong
In Muoi Loi flower garden, Da Lat has a pot of lemon trees with three giant fruits. Each fruit is about 40 cm long, about 20cm in diameter, weighs about 3.5kg.
According to Mr. Bui Van Sang - Ten Ten flower garden owner, this is a lemon variety (also called yen bar) originating from India, Burma, Mediterranean region.
In the early 2000s, Sang's biological father was trying to create the artisan Bui Van Loi (Ten Words) to collect and plant more than 10 plants in the garden. In 2008, Sang opened 10 lemon trees and planted them into a ornamental pot to take care of his own techniques, so far each tree has an average height of nearly 1 meter.
Mr. Sang said that from June until now, all 10 lemon trees in turn passed over 30 fruits. In addition to a tree with three 3.5 kg heavy fruits as mentioned above, there are more than a dozen growing fruits weighing 1-2kg. The remaining fruits weigh about 0.5kg. The owner of the garden Bui Van Sang is recruiting 3 lemon tree pots to nourish under a special regime to exhibit during the 2012 Dalat Flower Festival.
