Mohd Faizol Ab Aziz, officer of Baling Regional Civil Defense Force, said the giant python was discovered in the marsh area of ​​a village about 100 meters away from the village.

"A group of seven people were deployed to the scene after receiving a call about the discovery of the python, which had previously swallowed a goat from the villagers," Aziz said.

After arriving at the scene, about 15 minutes later the group discovered pythons in the swampy and dense areas.

"Efforts to catch pythons take about an hour due to the dark surroundings and soft ground in the swamp area , " he said.

He also said the python will be handed over to the National Wildlife Department in Baling.
