The 'invisible' demonic fish are waiting for their partner to spawn
The three male fish surround the female full of eggs waiting to turn to fertilize but at first glance it is difficult to detect the world's most unique fish hidden.
Devil's face is usually disguised as a rock on the sea floor.
Jace Gree diver filmed the devil face fish camouflaged among coral reefs while diving in Bali, Indonesia. Gree discovered 4 demon face fish while swimming across the reef. "These are the most unique fish in the world. But they are only lethal if you step on or be stabbed by one of the thirteen spines that run down the spine , " Gree said.
When filming, Gree realized a female fish face of which is full of eggs. "I've never seen this behavior before. The big fish is female and its belly is swollen with eggs. The smaller devil face is the male waiting for the female to release the eggs so they can fertilize , " Gree said.
Devil's face is usually disguised as a rock at the bottom of the sea, but the venom in its spines can be lethal within minutes. They fool the swimmers by lying in the coral reef. Most injuries are caused by swimmers accidentally stepping on or rubbing on the devil's face. Symptoms of being pierced by a devil's face include shortness of breath, swelling, paralysis, and seizures. But in many parts of Asia, Devil's face meat is considered a specialty. Processors must carefully remove the poisonous fin spins or boil in ginger water to heat the decomposition of toxins.
