The meteorite pierced the roof

A meteorite has just pierced the roof of a family's garden in Oslo (Norway) and falls to the ground.

The stone weighs 585g, and is split in half after falling. According to experts, it is possible that this stone originated from meteorite observed from Norway on March 1. Knut Joergen Roed Oedegaard astrophysicist and his wife Anne Mette Sannes, a man of particular interest in celestial bodies, discovered that the object is breccia , which is made of mineral fragments.

'This is very interesting because rarely a meteorite pierces through the roof, and this is breccia, a meteorite that is hard to find,' Sannes said.

Meteors move very quickly in the universe and are often broken when entering the earth's atmosphere, but rarely do they fall into inhabited areas, Serge Koutchmy at the Institute of Physics Paris object said.

'The family was very lucky, because the meteorite didn't do much damage, but it brought a fair amount of money ,' Koutchmy said.

A meteorite falling from Mars can be sold for $ 876 per gram, geophysicist Hans Amundsen said. It is still unclear where the meteorite has just fallen from Oslo and how rare it is.
