The mother has a child at the same time as ... two fathers

The twins Marcus and Lucas were born only 48 minutes apart, but were the children of two different fathers.

Sister Charlotte Hilbrandt (Danish) became pregnant with her ex-husband Michael and his new boyfriend Tommy after sleeping with these two men within 48 hours. The two boys are now 6 years old last week.

These babies are one of the few rare twins known in the world as such "half-brothers" , accounting for a part in a billion.

"The chance for you to win the jackpot is even more than this," said Charlotte, 38, for Mirror.

Charlotte also said her two sons are as different as chalk with butter. While Marcus, Michael's father's son, is disruptive with his short and energetic short red hair, his brother Lucas, Tommy's son, is taller, blond and calm and gentle.

Surprisingly, both fathers were very interested in the children and Charlotte said they were a big happy family.

The story of this strange conception began when Charlotte divorced Michael's husband in mid-2004.

However, Michael always wanted to return to his wife, so they had a good night on the first day of the new year. Concerned that this will crack his feelings with his new boyfriend Tommy, Charlotte has silently said nothing.

A few months later, she began to experience morning sickness and nausea, and went to see if she was pregnant with twins. When she became pregnant, Michael was by his side because they had two common children before.

A few weeks later, Charlotte realized that the two children were different, one resembling Michael and one like Tommy. But her mother was the first to say this. They decided to give them a DNA test and the truth is.

Now, four of Charlotte's sons still play together and with their fathers. Michael and Tommy treat each other as friends.

Dr. Virginia Beckett, from the College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, said that in this case the twins were conceived at the same time, although their mothers had sex with two fathers at different times. It is possible that the sperm from the first father stayed in the ovary, where it could hide for 3 to 4 days. Later, when the mother has sex with the second man and releases 2 eggs, she will be fertilized by the sperm of two different men.
