The mysterious age of the mysterious star
A star discovered in the Milky Way is 12,000 light-years from Earth. It has 10 times the mass of 20,000 energy compared to the Sun. This star has been a headache for scientists for more than a decade.
The star emits bright orange light in the middle of this image, taken by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope . Surrounded by it is a cloud of chemically rich green with bright colors. Scientists still do not know that this is an old or young star?
The initial evidence that this is an old star , is in the final stages of his life. The scientists observed through radiation receivers, radio sources and found that they were in the direction of age.

However, the surrounding clouds are evidence that it is a young star . When observing infrared wavelengths by the Spitzer infrared receiver device, its vibrant performance shows that it is very young.
Observing through infrared light can see through what the front cloud layer is obscuring, from which we can observe details that we did not know before. The clouds will collapse into the core of a star, and from there create a star.
" It is interesting to look at this star, it is so fascinating. This star reveals to us new insights about the life of a star, " astronomer Steven Charnley at Goddard Research Institute. NASA, co-author of the paper, said in the Astrophysical Journal.
