Fishermen in California state waters do not understand why millions of deadly fish died in a harbor near Los Angeles yesterday (March 8).

Experts said that the cause of millions of dead fish floating in a harbor near Redondo Beach, California is due to lack of oxygen because the area is being encroached by algae.

' This happens similarly to goldfish when you don't change the water in the tank regularly. At that time, goldfish kept floating on the surface of the water pushing oxygen and eventually dying , 'explained Bill Workman, a local official.

Mr. Bill Workman also affirmed that there were no signs of mass deaths due to poisoning. Water test results also show that there are no chemicals of oil in the water.

Meanwhile, the local people said that the previous night's strong winds were the cause of mass deaths. Strong winds caused fish to gather in the overcrowded port area and lack of oxygen, leading to death.
