The old man monopolized the machine to separate hydrogen from water

Mr. Vu Hong Khanh, author of a hydrogen and oxygen separator from a patented electrolytic method, is 75 years old this year, but is still passionate about research and continues to produce many inventive inventions. service life.

The machine separates hydrogen and oxygen from the 75-year-old man's water

This year is 75 years old, white hair, tortoise skin, but when it comes to scientific research, the eyes of Mr. Vu Hong Khanh light up again, an unusually cheerful voice. In addition to perfecting hydrogen-powered application products, he is showing a contract to manufacture equipment for mining units in Quang Ninh with much cheaper prices than similar equipment imported from China. .

In 1967, graduated from Hanoi University of Technology, engineer Vu Hong Khanh worked at Hai Phong Shipyard. The work was boring, there was no room for creativity, he went to Hanoi to work at the Institute of Criminal Science and Technology under the Ministry of Public Security. Hiding around with some test tubes for a while, again not interested, he returned to Hai Phong home, closed scientific research.

The whole house then turned into a factory, all iron, scrap steel and old objects. His first work was an oil-powered shrimp and fish grinder giving Duyen Hai Cooperative (Do Son, Hai Phong) 70s of the 20th century with the sole purpose of freeing labor for nearly 200 Female workers are not allowed to destroy their hands due to grinding shrimp into powder daily.

He recalled, on a beautiful summer day, the friend invited to ride to Do Son. Here, he witnessed many beautiful twenties but deformed hands by the process of grinding handcrafted shrimp into powdered shrimp with blood, scarring. That image kept haunting, urging him to create an automatic grinder , releasing manpower.

After many days of hard work, Mr. Khanh launched a oil-powered shrimp and fish grinder machine with a working capacity equivalent to about 200 employees. On the day he drove the machine down to donate Duyen Hai Cooperative, the chairman was very surprised and sold out about the effects of the machine. Only when witnessing each basket of shrimp in just a few minutes turned into a fine, flexible powder, the new owner appreciated and gave 5,000 bonuses to the young engineer, considered to pay.

That time he not only received a bonus as the capital but the order from the cooperative processing fish sauce in the country kept searching. With money, Mr. Khanh bought the land and set up a machine manufacturing factory.

Having a private space to satisfy creative research, Mr. Khanh then launched a series of machines for industrial and handicraft industries, such as soap processing machines, wood presses, sawdust presses, presses. rush, split rush, knitting rush rush, plows, harvesters, rice threshers, lawn mowers, recycled plastic crushers, plastic bucket making machines, oil presses, cashew nut separators, cassava grinding machines, machines power generation .

In particular, the project is highly appreciated by domestic and foreign scientists as the production line of automatic stainless steel bicycle rims . The stainless steel rim is of similar quality to the same Japanese product, the price is only 1/6 to quickly dominate the domestic market, export to many countries in the region, even Europe. With this initiative, Mr. Khanh won the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award (VIFOTEC) in 1999.

Patent invention of the device produces the mixture of hydrogen and oxygen by Mr. Vu Hong Khanh.

In all inventions, the project that makes Mr. Khanh the best, the most time-consuming and the most anxious is the device that produces a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen from water by electrolysis method. Stemming from the reality in advanced countries, hydrogen gas is studied and applied in the oil, chemical, metal and non-metallic industries, producing batteries, running cars, as fuel for missiles. , spacecraft ., but the production of this gas is expensive, Mr. Khanh sought to invent this gas-producing device.

His work was conceived from 2005 and until 2010 to be completed. He hoped, the separation of hydrogen gas would help the domestic heavy industry not rely heavily on mineral resources such as coal, oil, because it is running out. Hydrogen when burning gives temperatures up to 3,200 degrees Celsius, 2 times higher than the temperature of coal, does not produce toxic gases but produces water.

In the next step, Mr. Khanh experimented with using hydrogen gas to run explosives, metal cutting, waste burning, electricity generation, all of which achieved good results. However, the use of hydrogen instead of gasoline for cars only stopped at the experimental stage because it was too dangerous. In theory, if hydrogen is used to run a car, the hydrogen must be burned clean in the combustion chamber, otherwise the hydrogen tank in the car will turn into a giant mobile bomb that can explode at any time.

Instead of waiting for the auto engine production technology to change accordingly, Mr. Khanh created a gasoline-powered vehicle, running on water, very suitable for domestic conditions. According to his research, most cars have excess electricity during their operation. To utilize this power source to prepare water to hydrogen, he installed an extra battery. Hydrogen after being separated, leads into the combustion chamber with gasoline and the vehicle running. Research results on the family's Kia Morning brand car, Mr. Khanh affirmed 35% savings in gasoline.

To prove the effect of hydrogen, Mr. Khanh took visitors to the factory about 500m 2 across the Niem bridge (Le Chan district), one km from the house in Lam Ha ward (Kien An). After introducing a small room to display numerous awards, certificates of merit, medals, gold trophies and photos of Vietnamese Party and State leaders to visit private enterprises Khanh Hoa, Mr. Khanh opened the door. factory.

Pointing at the underground machines with the words 'Hydrogen and oxygen separator' , Mr. Khanh introduced, this is a product granted by the National Office of Intellectual Property in 2013. , draw water into the machine, then plug in the power. The machine roared for less than a minute, signaling that the hydrogen reservoir was full.

Mr. Khanh lit fire on the welding tip, a red sparks flew out. He said, this spark hits the object, the object melts after an instant. As he spoke, he picked up the iron rod and pushed it into the flame, the iron wire instantly melted. He lit a soldering iron into a brick, the brick melted into a powder like lava erupting from a volcano.

After the steam welding, Mr. Khanh pressed the head of the hydrogen gas pipe into the fuel supply line for Chinese motorcycle engines. The electric switch brushed up, the engine exploded brittle, then suddenly burst into shock as the guest startled. Mr. Khanh reassured, that he was used to it, he was a karma career.'During construction, there was an improper connection, hydrogen exploded, burning the hair. Police officers received reports from the people who thought the murder case was coming , "Khanh said.

What saddened Mr. Khanh the most was his successful research and development of hydrogen separator and his experiment in many fields, but until now it has been almost forgotten for 3 years. Meanwhile, the American Petroleum and Gas Group went to his house 4 times and lastly at the end of 2014 with the aim of negotiating to buy this invention for millions of US dollars, then offered to invite him to cooperated, but were rejected.

The 75-year-old man said, everyone likes money but 'money is attached to silver'. He hoped that, in the near future, his research achievements, especially hydrogen gas, would be widely applied in the life, serving the country's economic development.
