Lygosoma veunsaiensis , the name of the lizard mentioned above, was discovered when biologists of Fauna & Flora International (FFI) and Conversation International (CI) surveyed the number of organisms in the reserve Veun Sai-Siem Pang in Rattanakiri province in northeastern Cambodia , AFP reported.
When sunlight shines on the lizard's skin
lygosoma veunsaiensis, many colors will appear.
'These lizards are very difficult to detect because they hide under the ground for most of the day. Finding them was a lucky event for us , "said Neang Thy, a Cambodian biologist working for FFI.
Lygosoma veunsaiensis is an unusual lizard because its legs are extremely short, but its tail is longer than its body. Their skin has the ability to refract light so when looking at their skin in the sun, people will see many colors appear.
