"Between the fast-moving clouds and the rain lasting several minutes, the magic Moon moon appears, when the Moon is almost round and round, emerging from the clouds," Petricca describes.

Behind the rainbow is the northern aurora glowing blue light against the starry night sky. Arctic rays are colorful bands of light because the particles carrying electricity from the Sun interact with particles in the Earth's upper atmosphere.

In the middle of the picture is an array of "Summer Triangle" consisting of three bright stars Vega, Deneb and Altair. Vega is the brightest star, above the aurora. Deneb appears at the edge of the image while the Altair is under the rainbow, above a cloud.

"I can describe forever the scene then, but I think the photo will do this better. It's an unforgettable emotion , " he said.
