The reunited twins after the experiment were 35 years long
Elyse and Paula, twins but living in two different families, have no knowledge of the existence of the other. American scientists experimentally isolated them to find out how the environment affects the twins and eggs.
The research project takes place under the guidance of a leading American psychologist and the cooperation of Louise Wise Adoption Service in New York. Until Elyse Schein contacted the agency in 2003 to find out more about his identity, the truth began to clear up.
"I received a letter saying," You were born on October 9, 1968, at 12:51, you were a twin girl. "It was unbelievable. Suddenly there was a new element in the world. I was suddenly born as a twin ".
And by the time the Agency spoke to Elyse's newly discovered twin sister, Paula, the two women were soon arranged to meet in a New York cafe. Elyse returned to work in Paris. " She looks very European, " Paula said. "She wears a black glasses and smokes. She looks pretty cold. She is an opposing model to me."

"It was comforting when I thought that both of us were not pure copies of each other. Similar to looks when we compared our photos of childhood, when we grew up we had very private lifestyle ".
However, "we have the same interest in books and the same favorite movie, Wings of Desire , " Elyse said.
The twins now want to confront Dr. Peter Neubauer about what happened to them - though they discovered that they were abandoned shortly after the twins study began."We are a kind of 'experimental mouse' back to meet our doctor," Paula recalled her sister's feeling.
"We put all the questions for him. But he quickly turned the tide and saw this as an opportunity to continue his research," she said. "He wants to see how we have become and ask us about our growth."
Neither Paula nor Elyse could feel answered to questions about their lives. And research data will still be sealed until 2066.
"We do not regret the journey of life that has passed, but the meeting and the difficulties we face in our relationship, the absurdity of having to see a twin sister as a person. strange is very painful, " Paula said.
