The artist thinks that knowledge is erosion and not nourishment.
Selecting old books as composing materials, Laramee wanted to illustrate the fact that every culture after the time of rise and development, went to an obsolete, decaying place and replaced new cultures.
These works were included in the series The Great Wall and Biblios.
The works are on display at the Lacerte Contemporary Art Gallery in Quebec (Canada).
As a multi-talented artist, for more than 30 years, Guy Laramee has tried many things such as: writing, directing, writing contemporary music, instrumental design, sculpture, painting and literature.
He was awarded the Joseph S. Stauffer Art Prize for Canadian composers by the Canadian Council.
His musical works are performed in many countries around the world such as Canada, USA, Belgium, France .
The 55-year-old artist currently receives more than 30 grants to implement his creative ideas.
