The scientist won the Nobel Prize for physics conference in Vietnam

On August 11, in Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh), Vietnam Meetings Association opened the International Scientific Conference on Physics with the theme of 'Big and far Hadron collider' physics . 2014 investment.

Attending the conference were 120 professors, doctors and scientific researchers from 25 countries around the world. In particular, this conference was attended by Professor Englert, a Belgian national who won the International Nobel Prize in 2013.

After the opening, the scientists presented a discussion on the importance of studying the larger and more distant Hadron collider.

Regarding the purpose of basic research, Professor Englert shared in 1964, scientists have predicted the existence of scalar bosons or Brout-Englert-Higgs boson (BEH) . These particles have countless numbers in the universe and thanks to them, other elementary particles have mass through interaction with these scalar particles. This means that BEH boson particles can convert long-range interactions into close-range interactions. This is the BEH mechanism to explain the mass base of elementary particles. Recently, the CERN Research Center in Europe has found a scalar-like BEH seed. Thereby, it proved the correctness of the above theory prediction.

Professor-academician Nguyen Van Hieu, former Director of the Vietnam Academy of Sciences, said that in terms of the world, this is an important conference and the largest physical event, providing knowledge most basic, build the material world. Vietnam needs to organize many conferences like this to enlist the sharing of scientists who support Vietnam in the research and development of new materials. This is the field for development of Vietnam's shipbuilding, weapons, information technology . industries.

Also in the conference program, Vietnam Meetings Association, Ho Chi Minh City National University had a meeting with Binh Dinh provincial leaders on science-technology-education development and construction project. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Le Huu Loc directed the branches to set up a project management board to start construction in August 2015.
