The series of brocade leopard hunting South American crocodiles
The rare photo hunt for crocodile of leopard in Brazil is published by photographer Paul Donahue in National Geographic magazine.
According to the photographer Paul Donahue, the photo captures the original South American crocodile hunt of a large male leopard on the Tres Irmãos region (Brazil). The leopard lurks in the thick grass, hiding near a group of crocodiles that are basking in the sand.
"Over 30 to 40 minutes, we watched the leopard slowly crawl in the direction where the crocodile was located," Donahue recounted in the article published in the National Geographic Journal (NatGeo).
Leopard is a very good swimmer and their regular prey is fish, turtles and alligators. They also hunt larger species such as deer, wild boars and tapirs.
