The sight of worms eating algae magnifies 250 times
The image of a little silk worm eating and digesting algae is clearly recorded under a microscope.
Andrei Savitsky, who lives in Cherkassy, Ukraine, recorded a little silkworm feeding on and digesting algae 250 times magnified under a microscope , Story Trender reported on Dec. 21.
Lesser silkworm larvae are common in most parts of the world.
Classification of silkworm worms consists of thousands of different species, including earthworms, with diverse sizes ranging from less than 0.5 mm to more than 3 m. They are common in most parts of the world in marine, freshwater and soil environments.
"As soon as I got the microscope, I became more and more interested in the microscopic world and this hobby did not disappear. I want to show people how unimaginably this world is visually interesting. My friends and relatives really like what I do, they are always excited to watch videos, " Savitsky said.
"I took the creatures and materials from rivers and lakes. I tried to collect water with mud and algae because there are more microorganisms living there. I found this worm in the mud," he said.
