The smallest helicopter in the world

Prox Dynamics, Norway, has built the world's smallest unmanned helicopter, which is about the size of a cigarette pack and weighs 15 grams.

The aircraft, called the PD-100 Black Hornet, is the fifth prototype of its so-called Hornet-3a, which has completed its outdoor flight test on April 21.

The manufacturer claims, "Very pleased with the technology of the PD-100 Black Hornet . " With its light weight and size, the Hornet can be carried in its pockets and takes only a few seconds for the boot process. The helicopter is expected to be very useful in difficult terrain (such as an enemy battlefield or in buildings) and in special environments (such as pollution).

The Hornet is very easy to control, it is capable of very fast acceleration from the stationary station in the air up to a maximum speed of nearly 32 km per hour. Especially, if flying on the head about 3m, although seen, but the viewer can hardly hear the engine's sound.

The Hornet also responds very well to changes in wind direction. The secret behind this stability is that the auxiliary motor has the ability to manually adjust the direction of travel in the correct direction. Currently, Prox Dynamics plans to put this tiny helicopter on the market later this year.
