The star is named HD 162826 , about 110 light-years from Earth.

It is possible to observe HD 162826 with telescopes, and it is located in the constellation of Wujin, not far from Thien Cam, one of the brightest stars in the night sky.

To find potential candidates who are twins of the sun, research experts use media at McDonald Observatory and analyze 23 different stars.

Besides, they also used the telescope Clay Magellan at the Las Campanas Observatory (Chile) to study high-resolution photos of some stars in the southern hemisphere.

HD 162826 is a star with a very similar chemical structure to the sun , showing that they are more likely to be formed from a cloud of gas, according to a report published in the Astrophysical Journal.
