The tornado column of the grasshopper is nearly 305m high
The red grasshopper has formed a high cyclone column of nearly 305m on a road in Portugal.
Recently, Ana Filipa Scarpa, a wildlife photographer, accidentally captured a strange tornado image while at Vila Franca de Xira, north of Lisbon, Portugal. At first, Ana thought it was a whirlwind of wind. However, soon after, she realized it was a tornado column high up to 305m created by the red grasshopper when they moved.

This bizarre phenomenon was named Bugnado , which was created when the red grasshopper moved in the fields to search for food. Ms. Ana shared: "At first, I thought it was a wind whirlwind, the animals around me seemed very frightened. I was looking for a safe shelter but not there. Then, I I thought that the tornado column could not reach my position, so I drove towards the tornado column, and when I reached a point, I noticed that the pillar was made of insects, and the tall cyclone about 305m is made by red grasshoppers. "
Currently, the red epidemic in Europe is devastating in Africa. This epidemic may cause hunger for 15 million people. Red grasshoppers can move from 20 to 30km a day. Every day, a red grasshopper will eat 2g of food with its body weight. The United Nations estimates that 1 ton of red Europe will consume enough feed for 2,500 people a day.
