The tornado column of the grasshopper is nearly 305m high

The red grasshopper has formed a high cyclone column of nearly 305m on a road in Portugal.

Recently, Ana Filipa Scarpa, a wildlife photographer, accidentally captured a strange tornado image while at Vila Franca de Xira, north of Lisbon, Portugal. At first, Ana thought it was a whirlwind of wind. However, soon after, she realized it was a tornado column high up to 305m created by the red grasshopper when they moved.

This bizarre phenomenon was named Bugnado , which was created when the red grasshopper moved in the fields to search for food. Ms. Ana shared: "At first, I thought it was a wind whirlwind, the animals around me seemed very frightened. I was looking for a safe shelter but not there. Then, I I thought that the tornado column could not reach my position, so I drove towards the tornado column, and when I reached a point, I noticed that the pillar was made of insects, and the tall cyclone about 305m is made by red grasshoppers. Currently, the red epidemic in Europe is devastating in Africa. This epidemic may cause hunger for 15 million people. Red grasshoppers can move from 20 to 30km a day. Every day, a red grasshopper will eat 2g of food with its body weight. The United Nations estimates that 1 ton of red Europe will consume enough feed for 2,500 people a day.
