The underwater record for 73 days

Two researchers Jessica Fain and Bruce Cantrell ended their underwater life after 73 days, setting a new world record.

Jessica Fain and Bruce Cantrell on the afternoon of December 15 surfaced in the state of Florida, USA. Cantrell is currently a professor of biology at Roane Community College. Fain works at the Tennessee school.

Their place of residence is Jules Undersea Lodge, an underwater hotel at a depth of more than 7 meters at Key Largo Marine Park. Here, they experienced a separate life and breathed an alternative gas. Bedrooms are cylindrical with large window designs, enabling them to observe the underwater world. Air, water and energy are transported through a pipeline connected to the command center on the ground.

"We worked in every scenario we could think of , " Washington Post quoted Cantrell as saying before they carried out the mission in October . "There are only two reasons why we will have to leave this habitat early, which is a device with serious problems or serious medical problems."

In 1992, Richard Presley set up a record in the water for 69 days. In July this year, a French oceanographer named Fabien Cousteau ended his 31-day underwater expedition, aimed at conducting research and promoting ocean conservation activities.
