The video depicts how the car drives itself 'looking' at the road
You may be surprised to see the scene of London has been "digitized" into the lifeless white lines on the black background.
The view of the car driving
Have you ever wondered how a self-driving car will "see" the way you are going? How will the buildings, tree tops and vehicles move in the opposite direction from the robot's perspective?

A new video from ScanLAB will give you the answer. ScanLAB has attached a light detector and a LIDAR detector to a Honda CR-V to capture images of London's streets from the perspective of a self-drive vehicle.
Note that this car is still man-made, but LIDAR is equipped to help drivers self-drive can see the road . By projecting the laser in all directions and using sophisticated electronic means, LIDAR will measure the time that the light reflects from these objects. These timelines will be synthesized to create a light picture that the car software can "read" to avoid collisions.
