The whole town of ghosts emerged in America
Prolonged drought caused shallow water in Lake Folsom in the United States to reveal a town built after the California gold rush from the nineteenth century was buried 60 years ago.
The town formerly known as Mormon Island , was built in 1848 after the gold mine near Coloma was discovered.
At its peak, the town used to have 2,500 immigrants wishing to change their life in this rich land.
The ruins show that the town was built very solidly.
But in 1955 the US federal government decided to build a dam system and power plant on the American River to get water from the Sierra Nevada mountain range, leaving the town buried.
After 60 years, so far due to prolonged drought, the lake has dried up the vestiges of the ancient shadowless town that many people forget.
At its height, the old town used to have 4 hotels, 1 school and 7 pubs.
Due to the gold winner, the people here are also very happy to play.Beverage bottles are still left as proof of this.
And here are the arches of the bridge in town.
The town map was drawn in 1848 during the California Gold Rush.
