The world cooperates to research and protect wild bears

On November 26-30, experts from 35 countries around the world were present in India's New Delhi capital to attend the 21th International Conference on the study and management of bears (IBA ), focusing on opportunities and challenges in the conservation of rare and precious bears in the world.

Conference by the Indian Ministry of the Environment, Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Central Zoo Management and Wildlife Trust of India - WTI ) jointly organized.

Organizers said this is an opportunity to share knowledge and build cooperative relationships on the conservation of bears. In five working days, experts will present their latest research and findings about bears.

Mr. Vivek Menon, WTI CEO said that there have been many research projects on bears worldwide and IBA is a forum for researchers to share their findings to include in the protection application. This wild animal.

India is currently one of 12 global biodiversity centers, currently four of the eight rare and endangered bears in the world. The host country hopes the conference will open a new phase in wildlife conservation in India.
